Dr. Sundar Rajendran, MD – Co-Founder and CEO

Dr. Rajendran received his MD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his residency at St. Luke's UMKC program in Kansas City. He also did an optional, one year fellowship in Regional Anesthesia at the renownVirginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He has been in private practice for 20 years in Colorado Springs focusing on utilizing nerve block procedures during surgery. 15 of those years were at an Ambulatory Surgery Center covering the Olympic athletes. Dr. Rajendran has been an instructor in multiple workshops on training clinicians in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia and currently holds a volunteer faculty position at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Dan Kopacz, MD – Co-Founder

Dr. Kopacz has been instrumental in promoting regional anesthesia for over 25 years. After obtaining his MD from St. Louis University Medical Center, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Following a one year Regional Anesthesia Fellowship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, he was a faculty member with the department of Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado Medical Center for two years before returning to The Mason Cinic. While in Seattle, Dr. Kopacz authored over 80 research articles and book chapters on regional anesthesia. He was also an editor for the Journal of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA) and is currently the CME editor for the American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) journal Anesthesiology. For the past 10 years, Dr. Kopacz has been in private practice in Colorado Springs. All the while, he has continued to be involved with the ASA Education Committees as well as with the American Board of Anesthesiology. He was responsible for changing the residency requirements in anesthesiology to include mandatory regional anesthesia training. He too is currently a volunteer faculty member at the University of Colorado Medical Center.

Jim Kasic – Chairman of the Board of Directors

Jim Kasic is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the Class I, II, and III medical device industry.  Jim has served as the president and CEO of Sophono, Inc. a multinational manufacturer and distributor of implantable hearing devices for 4 years as well as the president of Boulder BioMed, AQ BioMed, and Orthowin.  His range of experience spans large multi-national organizations as well as start-ups with domestic and international scope.    Mr. Kasic holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, a Master of Science degree in chemical/biological engineering, Masters of Business Administration.
